                                                                                         May 29, 2020
Dear Church Family,
1 Timothy 1:14 and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus.
Thank you Lord, for your abundant grace to us, even in these times of trial and testing.
As we continue social distancing, I hope you are able to join us Sunday, at 9:30AM, as we livestream the worship and the message on the church’s Facebook page.
After the worship, you will have to refresh the page in order to see the message. (To refresh the page go to the address bar and push the REFRESH button next to the address.)
We will also be sharing the Lord’s Supper together during the message. Use whatever you have available in your home for the bread and juice. I look forward to sharing with you this weekend.
You remain on my heart and in my prayers.

                                                                                       May 27, 2020
Dear Church Family,
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 1:2)
I hope this update finds you well in the Lord. I miss our assembling together. I am looking forward with an expectant heart to the time we will be able to worship together again. Please know that you remain on my heart and in my prayers.
This weekend is the last in May. We will be remembering His death by celebrating the Lord’s Supper during the message. Please join me in continuing to celebrate His sacrifice for us, until He returns. Use whatever you have available in your home for the bread and juice.
Also, we will be finishing up the message series, “Forty Days to Glory”, as we take one last look at the words Jesus spoke before His ascension. Please join us on the church’s facebook page at 9:30AM.
The Lord bless you, and keep you…(Numbers 6:24)

                                                                                     May 23, 2020
Dear Church Family
Grace to you this Memorial Day weekend.
As we remember those who gave their lives for our liberty and freedom, let us also remember the One who gave His life so that we could be free from the penalty of sin and be given citizenship in His eternal kingdom.
I am so pleased to remind everyone that Sunday morning, at 9:30AM, we will livestream worship from our sanctuary and immediately following I will give a message on “The Promise of Power”.  (Stay on the church’s Facebook page for the message, which will follow immediately after the praise team leads us in worship. It will be two separate transmissions, so stay on after the worship segment, for the message. )
Also, the CONNECT groups that are scheduled for 10AM will begin right after the message is completed, probably about 10:10AM.
I look forward to Sunday morning and also for the day when we can again come together as a church.

  FBC Family Update #32

                                                                                     May 22, 2020

Dear Church Family,

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you! (Philippians 1:3)

You remain on my heart and in my prayers.

I have some great news!!!

This Sunday at 9:30AM, our praise team will be live streaming worship…(social distancing and all) on the church’s Facebook page.
Right after that, I will go live on a separate video on the same page with this week’s message from Acts 1:8, “The Promised Power”.

Thoughts to make personal application for the message:

1.  Do I rely on the Holy Spirit in my daily life?

2.  What happened when I did rely on the Holy Spirit?

3.  Do I want to rely more on the Holy Spirit?

I hope you will join us this Sunday for the worship and message.

Also, please note, the CONNECT GROUPS that usually start at 10AM, will commence immediately following the message.

I pray that you have a blessed Memorial Day weekend.

   FBC Family Update #31
May 20, 2020
Dear Church Family,
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
(2 Corinthians 13:14)
I hope you are all persevering as we continue to navigate these days of adventure the Lord has put in front of us. Next Sunday’s message will be about the Promise of Power that the Lord gives us before His ascension. I am looking forward to sharing with you.
Church, let us constant in prayer asking for the Lord’s grace and guidance, especially in these times.
Ephesians 6:18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints…
I am reposting a guide for us to seek God’s intervention and help during this pandemic.
1. Pray against the spirit of fear and anxiety. Pray for the church to walk in faith. (Isaiah 41:10, John 14:27,
Hebrews 13:5, 2 Corinthians 5:7, Philippians 4:6)
2. Pray for the church to rise up and be a light in these dark times. Pray that the Lord would use this crisis to
bring revival and manifest His glory. (Romans 8:28, John 11:3-5, John 9:3, Matthew 5:14, 16)
3. Pray for God’s intervention to stay this pandemic. Pray for a vaccine for this virus and for the medical teams treating the sick. Pray for those who are infected to have a swift recovery. (Numbers 21:7-9, Acts 28:3,5,
John 3:14)
4. Pray for the authorities running our cities, counties and country. Pray that the Lord would direct their steps
and give them His wisdom. (Romans 13:1, 1 Timothy 2:1-3, Proverbs 16:9, James 1:5, James 3:15, 17)
Please pray for the areas of flooding in Michigan. Barb Bennett’s family’s homes, churches and businesses are in imminent danger. Two dams that are upriver from them have been breached and one has already collapsed because of torrential rains this past week.
Thank you ahead of time for your faithfulness!
I love and miss you!

                                             FBC Family Update #30
                                                                                  May 18, 2020
Dear Church Family,
I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus…
(1 Corinthians 1:4)
The grace mentioned in the above Scripture is sufficient for us to live out these days in peace, joy and power. Continue to let your light shine so that those who don’t have a saving knowledge of Jesus, may experience the difference Jesus makes in our lives. Also, let us do all that we can to encourage the saints to not grow weary in well doing!
Please continue to pray for wisdom for the elders as we look toward reestablishing a public worship service. I am reminded that the Scripture says to “not forsake the assembling of ourselves together”. We had stopped meeting publicly out of concern and love for others. Now, we need God’s wisdom, as we prudently look to open up our doors again. I thank you ahead of time for your faithful prayers.
May the strength and power of the Lord Jesus Christ be yours in abundance.
Ephesians 3:16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man…

                                                                                         May 16, 2020
Dear Church Family,
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. (Colossians 3:15)
Even though we are in difficult times the Lord assures us that we are not alone and we have everything we need in Him.
2 Peter 1:3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
I hope you are able to join us Sunday morning on Facebook for this week’s message on The Kingdom of God.
The message can be found on the following link at 9:30AM
Asking two questions can enhance the application of the message:
1.  What does “Seek first the Kingdom of God” mean to me?
2.  Have I ever thought of my life as the battleground between two kingdoms?
I hope you will be blessed by the message and I am still looking forward to the day when we can worship together again.

                                                                                           May 13, 2020
Dear Church Family,
Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. (3 John 2)
Please be encouraged; the Lord will see us through each day as it comes. His steadfast love and mercies are new every morning; His grace is more than sufficient; and it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace. (Hebrews 13:9)
Please continue to be instant in prayer.  The answer for all that is in front of us is not in earthly wisdom, but the answers are found in the Lord. Pray for God’s purposes to be revealed and that we would see revival.
Thank you for your continued faithfulness to the Lord and to the church.  You are an encouragement.
I look forward to the day when we can worship together again. Continued grace to you all!

                                                                                  May 8, 2020
Dear Church Family,
As Paul told Timothy, I thank God…as I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day, longing to see you…” (2 Timothy 1:3-4)
You are loved and missed.
Colossians 4:3 praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ…
Please pray for the elders as we seek the Lord for His direction on when and how to navigate future public worship services.
In honor of Mother’s Day, the message this Sunday will be on John 20:1-2, 11-17, when Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene after His resurrection. We will examine her devotion to the Lord, and the honor that the Lord gave to her.
The application of the message will be twofold:
1.  How are we showing devotion to the Lord in our lives?
2.  What other ways can we show devotion to the Lord in our lives?
I hope you can join us this Sunday morning at 9:30AM on our Facebook livestream.

                                                                                         May 5, 2020
Dear Church Family,
Grace, peace and joy to you all!
Day after day turns into week after week. When will it end?
“You were tired out by the length of your road, yet you did not say, ‘It is hopeless.’ You found renewed strength, therefore you did not faint. (Isaiah 57:10)
Jesus said that His grace is sufficient for us! (2 Corinthians 12:9) Our hope does not change, because He does not change. Continue to live by faith, abide in Christ, nourish your souls with the Word of God and walk in love.
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

                                                                                            May 2, 2020
Dear Church Family,
I thank my God in all my remembrance of you…(Philippians 1:3)
I am grateful to the Lord for our wonderful church family and for the opportunity to share via Facebook on Sunday mornings.   We will be continuing our series on 40 Days to Glory, as we examine the days after the resurrection.  Sunday, at 9:30AM the message will be from Luke 24:34-45. The takeaway will be our faith. While you are listening, please consider these three questions:
1. What is my definition of faith?
 2. How have these past weeks tested my faith?
3. How has God been faithful?
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

                                                                                       May 1, 2020
Dear Church Family,
It is hard to believe that May is here. I pray the Lord’s protection, provision and peace are yours.
I am encouraged by the possibility of having some release in the days ahead, with the vision of soon being together to worship.  But until then, let’s live each day “on purpose.”
Romans 12:12-13 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.
Let’s use this Scripture as our strategy for these days:
1. Rejoice in our salvation
2. Be steadfast, always abounding in the work of the Lord
3. Be instant in prayer
4. Look out for the needs of others
5. Have a kind word and deliver it!
I also want to thank you for your faithful giving.  It is such an encouragement to us all. And, if any of you are in need, please contact us.
May the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people… (1 Thessalonians 3:12)
Pastor Vince

                                         FBC Family Update #23
                                                                                      April 28,2020
Dear Church Family,
But we, brethren, having been taken away from you for a short while—in person, not in spirit—were all the more eager with great desire to see your face. (1 Thessalonians 2:17)
As the days turn into weeks, I am missing you all more and more. Don’t underestimate the power of a kind word to someone. It is important to keep active in our communicating with one another. It is especially helpful to talk lovingly about the Lord, to help build up each other’s faith.
If you are not part of one of the Sunday morning CONNECT groups that are meeting virtually on ZOOM, please go to the church website for details on how to join one. It is a way to stay connected and to be encouraged.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
A word of encouragement to us all: we are equipped for these extraordinary days! HE is the stability of our times. Continue to walk in faith and let your light shine.
Grace and peace to you all!
Pastor Vince.
